90年代、日本のＡＶシーンにはひとつの革命がありました。カンパニー松尾、バクシーシ山下、ゴールドマン、そして平野勝之。こうした若い監督たちが、新しい映像の実験を繰り返していました。ＡＶというメディアを使って、表現の裾野をグングン押し広げて行ったのです。それは僕にとってはパンクムーブメントそのものでした。彼らのパワーに引き込まれるようにして、僕はエロライターになりました。ライターになりたかったのではなく、エロライターになることを選択したのです。彼らと一緒に走りたかったのです。

あの頃から時は流れて、ＡＶ業界も大きく変貌を遂げました。オナニーのためのツールとしての洗練という進化の道を選んだＡＶには、かつてのような実験は許されなくなっています。そして、あの頃、あれだけ輝いていた監督たちもみんな失速してしまい、唯一走り続けているカンパニー松尾も、その表現は熱さよりも深さを感じさせるものになっています。みんな、年をとったのです。

しかし「監督失格」には、あの頃の熱さがありました。見る者すべての心にナイフを突きつけていた若き日の平野勝之の姿がそこにありました。

これが、おれが見たかった平野勝之です。
